Four B.C. cities are in Canada’s top 10
Vancouver has topped Tripadvisor’s list of Canadian destinations for 2023.
While the city didn’t make it onto the global rankings for the user-generated review platform, it’s the number one-ranked spot on the Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best list for popular places in Canada.
“The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums,” states Tripsdvisor. “Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.”
Among the not-to-miss things to do in Vancouver, according to Tripadvisor, are seaplane tours, a walking food tour of Gastown, and (awkwardly) a trip to Victoria and Butchart Gardens.
On the Vancouver page, they also suggest such iconic experiences as visits to Granville Island, the Vancouver Aquarium, and the Museum of Anthropology.
Joining Vancouver in the top 10 towns are three other B.C. destinations: Tofino in fourth, Whistler in fifth, and Victoria in eighth (awkwardly the suggested things to do in Victoria didn’t include Butchart). Between the four communities, B.C.s coastal region is well represented.
Following close behind Vancouver is Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario and perennially-popular Banff. Rounding out the top 10 were Quebec City (6), Canmore (7), Montreal (9), and Toronto (10).
